Some soreness and/or tenderness should be expected after striking a drum for a couple of hours. And, developing calloused palms may seem like a worthy sign as a testament to djembe love but there are ways to protect yourself from possible injury and skin trauma. I’ve needed to develop a regimen for before and after playing to prevent injuring my hands and fingers.

When I got a surprise visit from these little angels, I have to admit, I panicked. I have no toys in my house and didn't know how I was going to entertain a 3-year old and a 2-year old.
